Το Τμήμα Πολιτικής Επιστήμης και Διεθνών Σχέσεων διοργανώνει το 2ο Youth Summer School με θέμα “Muslim views of economics: Development, Islamic Banking and Finance”, στις 26-29 Αυγούστου 2015 στο Κιάτο Κορινθίας. Μεταξύ των διακεκριμένων ειδικών περιλαμβάνονται οι:

“Muslim Views of Economics:

Development, Islamic Banking and Finance”

Program

Overview

The School aims to discuss and relate Muslim views of economics to global and European economic and banking developments, geopolitical trends in the wider Mediterranean, and the role of Waqf, culture and religion. It seeks to synthesize theoretical insights and factual experience with a view to mainstreaming an interdisciplinary perspective in the study of Islamic banking, development and finance. It aspires to evolve into a useful educational building block for pre-early career university students of any status and young professionals who are interested in gaining knowledge and skills for future research and employment in the subject fields of Islamic economics and geopolitics.

Teaching

During the morning sessions two lectures are scheduled to take place, roughly two hours each, between 10:00 and 12:00 with a refreshment break. Each lecture is set to involve an about 60 minute speaker presentation following by a 30 minute class discussion.
